The Mountaintop School for Dogs and Other Second Chances by Ellen Cooney

One mutt was snuggling my book while the other mutt had stolen my spot on the couch. Pretty much par for the course around here, actually, and definitely worth more than my usual thumbnail shot of a cover.

Evie is discovering the benefits of learning sit, stay, lie down, come, and drop it aren’t limited to the dogs she’s encountered in her brief time at The Mountaintop School for Dogs. Hoping to claim a new career as a dog trainer, she’s come to this isolated and somewhat mysterious establishment only to find her education to be a bit unconventional. Then again, breaking convention might be just what she needs since her own past is nearly as chaotic as some of the canines’.

The Mountaintop School for Dogs and Other Second Chances is really making me wish it was a factual place I could go live.
