Sometimes we need a little push to start, a tap on the shoulder to give us direction, a tingle of inspiration to excite our imagination, or a reminder of purpose to sustain us on our journey.
Sometimes we need a nudge.
The Nudge: May 2016
Let us go forth, the tellers of tales, and seize whatever prey the heart long for, and have no fear. Everything exists, everything is true, and the earth is only a little dust under our feet.

W. B. Yeats
To arms, brave tellers of tales! Write what your heart desires.
Ultimately, writing needs to come from you, not a list of what will sell. Yeats mentions Paddy Flynn, a man who emptied “heaven, hell, and purgatory, faeryland and earth, to people his stories,” as the example to follow. What do you imagine? It exists. What moves you to write? It is true. Why hold back on either?
Be fearless.
