What’s Your Read?
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: It’s the little things. Just a small touch, like naming the dinosaur that the kids saw on a field trip, can make me feel right at home in a book. Dracorex hogwartsia really does look like a dragon without wings. (It resides at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, barely a hop, skip, and a jump from my home.)
Anyway, moving on from my geek-out moment . . .
Mo, the dog, has recently moved with the tall woman to Royal, Indiana, but he’s not sure how he feels about it. Especially when his dream girl, yellow hair and all, ends up with sticky fingers and little interest in him.
Melody has a wonderful dilemma. She’s overheard her very single father call someone “honey” on the phone. After years of waiting, her dad just might have a girlfriend, but she has no idea who it is. In the mean time, Melody’s desperately wishing for last year’s teacher who didn’t maliciously set up trick questions on math tests and trying to avoid blond and sticky Teeny Nelson from next door.
