What’s Your Read?

I did it again. I’ve stolen my husband’s library book, a book for which he submitted a special request. This happens regularly, but it’s worse this time. I’m reading it before he does. Yes, I already have a large stack of my own from the library. Even picked up a few (seven) extra this week. However, The Gracekeepers looked way too promising to delay.

The world has changed. This is a bit of an understatement given that land is scarce. Few can afford to live on terra firma unless they were born and raised there. The landlockers don’t care much for the damplings, those who live on the all-consuming sea. The feeling is mutual. A floating circus, watery graves, and haunting memories wind around and through a story of two young women hoping to survive.

In related news, I have a very understanding and patient husband. I promise to read quickly, love.
